Member Berries = Kratom

To some extent, the Member Berries have to be referencing Kratom after the recent FDA ban

hadn't heard of this one.. interesting read. I knew they had to have gotten it from somewhere..But it was totally baffling me. It definitely makes sense.

It has to be at least some slight reference. Makes too much sense.

My thoughts are that Member Berries are a take on the Acai berries craze. Now this is where it gets interesting and the joke takes place. Generally speaking many people that are into healthfoods and Superfoods like Acai berries are liberal.

Member Berries are obviously their conservative counterpart saying things about the sanctity of marriage and my person favorite "Member when there weren't so many Mexicans". This is the where the Member Berries meet with the nostalgia theme they started the season with. Republicans always love referencing the good old days of Ronald Reagan hence "Member Ronald Reagan.

Being a former actor Ronald Reagan ties in with the last joke of Memberberries as well. The berries are referencing projects like the The Force Awakens and the Lady Ghostbusters reboot. These are also projects that on top of the reboot issue caught major flak for their perceived PC casting. A women and black man as a lead in Star Wars had people very upset and apparently that Ghostbusters deal didn't go so well either.

It will be interesting to see where they go from here...

Yea, I mean I think it's a combination of things. Nostalgia is the most overt. But as far as "taking the edge off" and Butter's dad literally saying "I heard about it from a friend at work a few months ago," that's definitely Kratom inspired
