How the PT should have played out

This is how the PT should have gone:

Episode I - begins with the start of the Clone Wars and develops the relationships of key players Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme and ends with a major victory for the Republic

Episode II - Set a few years after Episode I, the Clone Wars draw to a close as The Empire comes into existence. Anakin is torn between his friendship with Obi-Wan and Padme and his distrust of the Jedi Order. Anakin ultimately turns to the Dark Side (mirroring Luke's denial of the Dark Side in Empire Strikes Back) and becomes an agent for The Empire. The movie would end with Anakin becoming Darth Vader (in name but not in appearance) and Padme discovering she is pregnant.

Episode III - Anakin (now Darth Vader and a student of the Dark Side) leads the Jedi purge and realizes he must confront Obi-Wan and Padme (who has secretly given birth to Luke and Leia without Vader's knowledge) who have formed The Rebellion with Bail Organa. Vader inadvertently kills Padme and blames Obi-Wan for him causing her death. Vader and Obi-Wan fight but Vader ultimately ends up defeated and becomes the character seen in the OT.

I agree, that would have better. No need for a youngster Anakin, it added nothing.

Sounds good to me

Man you prequel bashers are so annoying

How would the Rebellion have developed for 20 years before gaining a real victory?

I also don't really like the idea of Anakin both becoming a Jedi and becoming close to Padme in the first movie and a whole third movie with Anakin being on the Dark Side.

Why would your Anakin have turned to the Dark Side? Loyalty to and admiration of Palpatine?

I like this more. Clearly it should’ve gone something like this. Lucas stated that he had mostly only came up with the story for E3 but decided he wanted it to be the last film, which is why E1 and E2 feel so bloated.

I think it would’ve been better if E3 were actually E1, and then two more movies were made to expand on the rise of the Empire that would’ve lead somewhat into the events of E4. After all, the whole point of calling Episode 4 “Episode 4” was to give feeling that it was part of an old serial, and that there were three episodes prior that showed what happened to go into the 4th episode. It doesn’t really make sense that there’d be this massive gap between the two movies.

I don’t know if I would want Anakin to be Darth Vader by the end of the second movie but otherwise, well done.

I'd of loved to of seen Anakin as a Flash Gordon type hero right from the start, an heroic Jedi with great charisma, making him such a hero who has great adventures with Obi Wan and a band of Jedi during the Clone Wars, it would make his fall to the Dark Side all the more tragic.

I didn’t watch Clone Wars so don’t know how Anakin is fleshed out in that, but he really should have had a moment to shine as a good guy, rather than a conflicted young guy.

I think just about everyone wanted at least one episode of Darth Vader hunting down and killing Jedi as mentioned in Star Wars back in 1977.
