The Big Green Dubs are awful
My God, has anyone ever listened to them? They are so god-awful.
They make me appreciate the Ocean and early Funimation dubs more than ever.
Well, they're apparently based off the similarly (though perhaps not as hilariously) awful French dub, so it's no wonder.
shareYou know this dub is awful when they call EVERY move in the show a Kamehameha. Did the people who made this dub even know what a Kamehameha is? It's a freakin' Turtle Destruction Wave!
Even the people who made the original Ocean Dub in the mid-1990's know what a Kamehameha is and isn't.
I know. Most of the European dubs have also been based on the crappy French version, and the attack names are almost always either completely wrong, or are replaced with random generic taunts like "Take this!" or "You're doomed!"
Also, for some reason, a lot of these dubs almost always left out the "-ha" from the end and replaced it with either shouting, or some very awkward translation. Most of the time, it came out as "Kamehame! Waah!" but it was also called "higher powers", "the lightning" or "destructive wave". I think there were episodes where they used all these names. And in one instance it was called "Kamehame Personality Wave".
It's incredibly bothersome, but at the same time it's so bad that it's almost funny.
But i like the Big Green Dub and the French Version
It's way more Superior to the Awfull Late Ocean Dub Version
