I'm watching Maury today after a longish absence. I can't say nothing has changed, because I think the show is worse than ever.
I can't believe the way this woman Sonya is screeching! My God! That alone would be reason enough for any man to chew his own leg off to get away from her!
What to the producers do? Hunt out the loudest people who use the worst grammar?? And I can't get over the women who say 'chal' instead of child. Where the hell do they learn English?? So often the man 'accused' is found to be NOT the father, and there goes the woman, screeching like a banshee, running backstage often to crumple to the floor squalling. These people are disgusting, as is The Maury Show for encouraging and exploiting them.
Why don't these people use birth control? It's readily available, and oftentimes free for low-income folks. There's really no excuse.

My guess is that the producers of the show tell people to act loud and ghetto because they think it entertains people more. IMO it would be tolerable if people would just talk and not interrupt each other but the YELLING is unbearable. And I think the stories are exaggerated as well. I understand that some people are going to sleep around but are there really THAT MANY women who sleep with entire neighborhoods without protection and go on television to talk about it? When I was a teenager I thought this show was hilarious but it got old quickly. It's the same stories with different people.

The loud ghetto act is the audience these shows attract in the first place. These same useless women who do nothing but sit on their asses and have babies by countless men make up the shows core viewership.

The show has gone way downhill. It reminds me too much of The Jerry Springer Show.
All that fighting and yelling get on my nerves. I just change the channel. I can't watch Maury anymore. It's all about DNA testing to see which one of a dozen men fathered Shanequa's or Tiffanie's baby.
That would mean that in the span of a couple of weeks, she has had multiple partners and can't tell which sperm crossed the finish line first.
It's sad that a woman has to test many men because she doesn't know who the father is.
I would be so ashamed if myself.
Condoms and birth control are much cheaper than a baby.
Better yet, it's best that they keep it zipoed until someone worthy comes along.
A man should have to work to be able to be with a woman.
