Put it out on Blu Ray already! (w/ The Sweatbox)

I know this isn't considered a classic by Disney standards, but frankly it's my favorite Disney movie and it's amassed quite a following. I would love to have a BR release with the special features from the OOP Ultimate Groove edition. I also think it would be REALLY cool to add the as-yet-unreleased documentary The Sweatbox as a special feature. I know that it doesn't paint certain people in the best light, but the movie's a decade old now and I think people would really like the full story behind the restructuring of the film from the people involved.

If they can put out 3 DVD editions (two in 2001, and reissue in 2005), they can put this on BR already.

I agree! I'm sure they already have a Blu-Ray released planned though. I mean they already have a Blu-Ray for Treasure Planet, and that bombed at the Box Office!

I don't think we'll see a public release of The Sweatbox though. I have personally seen it myself and it makes some of the Disney executives look like jerks. It would be nice to have it as a bonus feature though.

YES! One of my favorite Disney movies. Needs a Blu Ray.

I don't know about you, but this is definitely a Disney classic and in my opinion, superior to pretty much all of the Renaissance films. It's a radical opinion, I know, but Disney doesn't realize just how special this film is. It was a sleeper hit at the box office despite making a relatively low total, and it did extremely well on home video.

I'd love to see a Blu-ray edition that comes with The Sweatbox. It's such a great look into the process of making an animated feature, development hell and executive meddling. Plus it should have the bonus features from the Collector's Edition DVD and then some.

Amen! While I don't think the film is a classic, it is damn good and needs a great Blu-ray. I have the New Groove Edition, and it is a pretty crappy DVD release.
