No one's mentioned it, but the animation and characters in the movie Titan A.E. (2000) all look exactly like characters from the old video arcade game SPACE ACE (1984), and not surprisingly, it was created by Don Bluth. I loved that game and Dragon's Lair when I was little, is pretty sweet that they've both been ported to the iTunes app store.

I have a feeling it wasn't mentioned because as you've said yourself it's not surprising as Don Bluth did both. Just sayin'
