15 year old Frozen Burritos

That's probably the best cryogenics technology ever. Amirite?

Well to be fair, the Burritos may be new. The Human race may have shops where they grow food, and it woudln't be too difficult to then make flour and grow the beans to make the burritos.

When they had to evacuate Earth, someone loaded a ship up with burritos. 8D

It's not actually that far fetched at all. NASA has developed sealed meals that last for years- the longest shelf life of which I'm aware, thus far, has been about 8 or 9 years (that is, they opened an 8 year old package and it was consumed to no ill effect). It depends on the food. Fruits and meats tend not to store as well, even in a vacuum (they break down and lose texture after a while).
A bean burrito that has been completely sterilized, sealed without any air exposure at all, and subsequently frozen COULD conceivably last 15 years. And bear in mind, this film takes place a thousand years in the future. We can keep food for around a decade NOW, think of what we can do a thousand years post-hence!

With the proper sealing and sterilization, and given the right type of food, in fact, we could right now have a meal that's storable for 20 years. I had a piece of chewy ginger candy I found that's 11 years old. Tried it. Still good.
