Am I the only one who would have preferred the original ending to FireB?

Am I the only one who would have preferred the original ending to The Firebird Suite? The original ending had the Sprite go up to the sun and merged with it shining light down the forest with the elk watching her on a cliff. It was fully animated and can be seen on the Fantasia Legacy disc which was part of the Fantasia Anthology set. To me I think it suites the ending better than the ending with her going to the volcano and the elk is watching her from the grass. While that ending made me breathless I believe the original ending would have been better in my opinion.

Any thoughts?

I honestly did not know there was an original ending to The Firebird and the idea of the Sprite having a sun form really fascinated me.
