Wow! This movie is even more obscure than the Black Cauldron!

I never thought that day would come when that most infamous of Disney movies would be topped with another obscure film.

But I think it's more because Fantasia/2000 debuted in very few theaters at first and also the subject matter that it deals with isn't so hot anymore. (well with a good number of people.)

I didn't notice how obscure Fantasia 2000 was. It seems to me that most of the Disney movies without some sort of song and dance number go unnoticed by a lot of people.

I for one love Fantasia 2000, The Black Cauldron and the other obscure movies.

wow, old thread.

anyway, this film made $90 million worldwide. Far from obscure for a mostly silent animated, classical music concert feature. Some of the segments are even highly critically acclaimed. Unlike The Black Cauldron.

Trust me, Disney obscurities go a lot deeper than Fantasia 2000.

Ever heard of Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow? Something Wicked This Way Comes? Return to Oz? Condorman?

Check them out they're great (well the first 3 are), though as the long out of print DVD of Dr. Syn is $100+ on Amazon marketplace you may have to indulge in bit torrenting or eBay bootlegging to see a good print without breaking the bank.

It's not that obscure. It's been available to watch on Netflix for over a year.

If you go by number of votes, The Black Cauldron is more "obscure", with 5500 fewer votes. However, The Black Cauldron has ten times more votes than Make Mine Music. With only 2162 votes, it's got to be the most obscure Disney classic.
