Anyone else not like the Stokowski bit?

I'm a HUGE fan of the original Fantasia (My favorite Disney Animated Film and just one of my favorite films in general) and while the sequel is pretty hit and miss, the little bit after The Sorcerer's Apprentice when Mickey, re-dubbed, talks to Leopold Stokowski and then runs over to the next composer and we see the silhouette of Stokowski in the back distance, really bothers me for some reason.

I guess it's because it just feels unnatural and unnecessary. It's seems like the only reason The Sorcerer's Apprentice is even in the film is because they thought they had to pay homage to the first film in some way, that or they didn't have an original Mickey cartoon to put in there. Anyone else feel this way?
