very underrated movie

well actually not on imdb--i see its rated 7 out of 10--which is right where i would rank this movie--i think i gave it an eight---but still i never remember there being much talk about it when it first came out---the scene that really made this movie was when he reveals exactly where he found the keys--its heelarious--reminds me of a wes andersen movie in its corkiness

Poor, hard-done-by Steve--

"Doesn't seem... like a good thing."

"Sure it is. The man's been lookin' for his keys for a year. And I. Found. Them."

That was a great scene =D I had never even heard of the movie when it came out -- when I first moved to Japan and was desperate for something in English to watch (I'm out in the country, no cinemas), a friend back home would raid the discount bin at Blockbuster for me, and happened to pick up an old VHS copy of "The Zero Effect" for me. It became one of my favourite movies -- a great, appropriate soundtrack; fantastic casting (and great makeup/costumes); and an appropriate ending.

THE most underrated movie in my opinion.

Agreed. This is a great movie. Subtle.

My accountant says, "1 + 1, 40% of the time, equals divorce".
