felt cheesier than the TV show (Specially the acting)

when I saw this I remember loving it as a teen. I remember loving the movie and the story. it felt very dark and creepy to me.
I had not watched all the episodes so some of the alien stuff felt new to me.

But I watched it now and... a lot of it feels, cheesy. not the story obviously but other things like the humor, the acting, some of the music (not the score but music playing in the movie)

I don't know but Mulder felt more naive than in the show, Scully felt less serious than as serious as she always was on the show.
I don't know. It did feel like if this was the first time they were working together in a way, I understand they did this because of the new people watching the movie, but it just felt cheesier as far as their acting goes

Hmm. I just watched it last night and wasn't getting any of that.

scully was more jokey, more naive in the movie... i definitely felt that. Mulder maybe was not as different but scully felt like a new person

I'm wondering if you're confusing this movie with Men In Black.

reply

Tommy Lee Jones acting was actually a lot better than anyone in this movie ironically enough

Well no, but it was the first time we see the beginnings of a romantic relationship between them.🐭

Come on. You know they wanted to bang each others brains out since season 2. It was only a matter of time.

Oh.
