What did Ruby mean that Davie, who Kevin Bacon shot, was 'seminal'? This has always confused me?

I think that she said 'seminole', which is in florida.so davie was a seminole kid.....being English I could be totally wrong of course though.just finished watching it again, I do like this movie and not just for the obvious reasons ;-)

The Seminoles are a native American tribe in Florida.

I'm pretty sure she was referring to the mascot of Florida State (Seminoles) meaning he was a college kid who went to FSU

The Seminole are also a Native American tribe that are in Florida so I don't think she meant the college. I think he was an actual member of the tribe itself.
