Tries to be too slick

I personally love the asthetics of it, how hot it is all the time. the florida setting makes it different and somehow misleading, they could have filmed this at a prestigious manhattan boarding school... it wouldn't have been much different to Cruel Intentions, the plot is what it is, so it relies on aesthetics and ambiance (that score!) to stand out and it succeeds.

It's visually stunning, beautiful people beautiful scenery... Who cares if it's a little slick... It's thoroughly entertaining and one of my all time faves. Matt Dillon in lush "blue bay" ???
