Just saw this for the first time

Just saw this on Vice and loved it. I missed the entire glam rock era, trapped in the midwest. I was a little confused why Brian faked his death, at least at first. But after watching it again now I think I understand. When his manager told him he wasn't going to extend Curt's contract and that Brian had to continue to tour and fulfill his own cotract, Brian saw it as a way out. Sabotage his career in order to get out of his contract and start over again. Since Curt was at Tommy's concert, I assume that meant making music the way he wanted and a life with Curt.
