shareLots of people fall in love with "the wrong person". does'nt mean that love is any less sincere. Come on have'nt we all seen someone completely head over heels in love with someone who treats them badly, cheats on them and the keep running back for more? Valentino for all his flaws - I think - did care about both Gary and MaryCarmen, he just showed his affection in the only way he knew how, through his sexuality.
As far as I saw, everyone involved with Valentino was completely aware of his having AIDS, so if they knew this and still chose to have unprotected sex with him, then it's a case of lust/love winning over common sense. Also, have'nt you ever known someone who confuses sex and love? Not realizing the difference between the biological and the emotional.
