That's like way up there. Even the first encounter almost-kiss was hot. Even with the greasy hair and uneven part line. Even with both actors alternating between amazingly good-looking to amazingly peekish, according to the lighting. I can't believe I waited this long to rent it. I kept waiting for Salma Hayak's character to evaporate from the premises, never to be seen again.

I agree with you on the kissing scenes 1000%! Although I've never seen Vincent D'Onofrio ever give less than his best in his love scenes, the kisses he shared with Thomas Janes and Salma Hayek were the kind that would make mere mortals weak in the knees and ache for many more!
One disagreement though, I grew up in areas that had a large Hispanic/Latino population and a lot of the 'average' girls behaved just as Ms. Hayek's character of Mary-Carmen did. So her being likable may have been difficult but,
she was closer (in my opinion) to portraying the average young Hispanic woman.
