New Blu-ray from Twilight Time

Solid PQ and AQ and a nice collection of (recycled) special features makes Vampires a worthy addition to the high-def Carpenter catalog, which is now just two feature titles away from being complete (looking right at you Memoirs of an Invisible Man and Village of the Damned): http://www.cutprintfilm.com/reviews/blu/blu-ray-review-john-carpenters-vampires/

There's a Region A friendly Blu-ray of Village of the Damned out in the UK and there are several Blu-rays of Memoirs of an Invisible Man out in the places such as Japan and Germany.

The only Carpenter flick that doesn't have a Blu-ray release anywhere is Someone's Watching Me!, which is much more deserving of the HD treatment than Ghosts of Mars, The Ward and Vampires.

I just tested it on my region A locked player and it played fine so it is at least region A and B compatible, even though it only says region B on the packaging.

Loved the Twilight Time release, like you said PQ and AQ was top notch. It also had a "making of" featurette which is a bonus as most Twilight blurays are barebone discs.

Their newer titles are coming out with some good bonus features now.

For those in Region B who want this on Blu-ray without paying TT prices, I can thoroughly recommend the dual-format (Blu-ray and DVD) release from Indicator. It has everything the TT release has, plus a few extra goodies.
