Mamet feel.

I see a lot of comparisons to Tarantino in the comments here, but I thought it had a real Mamet feel to it. The dialogue was very Mametlike, and not just because the movie was filled with Mamet actors.

The editing from one scene to another was great. I haven't seen cuts like those since The Highlander.

I would agree that the cinematography has a "Mamet" feel, but the dialogue isn't even close to Mamet, nor Tarantino for that matter.

First off, For either writer/director the dialogue is missing about 1,052 motherf@ckers, fu@ks, a$$holes, sh'ts and other expletives that normally accompany a Mamet or Tarantino movie. But mainly it's missing the finely crafted dialogue that carries such movies with little action such as Resevoir Dogs, Buffalo '66 or Glengarry Glen Ross.

Perhaps this was an attempt to emulate Mamet, however, if that was the target, I would consider this film a near miss.
