I finally watched the movie after avoiding it for years, and I have to say that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. I just found that the whole solar eclipse really irked me.

I'm not an eclipse expert, but they don't usually last that long. I think the longest they are ever supposed to last is around 6-7 minutes and that is only like once every few hundred years.

I know that it's just a movie, and one should watch with a suspension of disbelief. I tried. I don't even know why that part stuck out as being the part that bothered me, I mean how often do Texas rangers get to go after criminals in a different country and direct a swat team?

That being said, I at least was entertained while watching it. :)

You're not being too picky. I have all the films on DVD (I think it was a box set purchase, I forget) and the first, original is in a league of its own. However the sequels have their merits.
