The Big-Band-ish song Used in this film
It's taken me NINE YEARS but I finally found out the name of that Big Band-like song used in the film "Tea with Mussolini". In the film,During the new years eve scene, we first see lots of high stepping people dancing to fast jazzy music. This is followed by one of the most GEORGIOUS big band songs ever written. This song has been used in hundreds of movies and tv commericals in the United States and I'm sure in other countries as well. The name of the song is titled "Moonlight Magic--in the sytle of Glenn Miller" and was written by Alan Moorhouse. It's not available to buy however. The company that owns the rights is in the UK and is called KPM music.
Other films that have utilized this song are; "My Date With The Presidents Daughter" "The 1997 tv remake of Stephen Kings The Shinning" "Hotel de Love" and the film "Wall Street". In 1999 this song was even feautured in an A-One Steak souce tv commerical. The song is what is called in the "BIZ" as "stock music" meaning that film companies buy the rights to use songs like this in their movies rather then pay huge royalties to play actual stuff by the big band greats,.My long NINE YEAR search is over and I hope I've helped others out there also searching for answers were this beautful song is concerned. If I may be of futher help to others please contact me via email. Best Wishes. In this case "If you dream real hard, your wish will come true" Amen to that!!
