I'm sorry but this guys acting/look was just so out of place .... They couldn't find a better/slimmer actor

Yeah, if he had been Air Force or Navy it would have been acceptable. But the Marines don't have fat boys like that, especially officers.

Loved the colonel's dialogue in the film, but yeah I always thought he was out of place in terms of his physical appearance.

Ha ha, I never thought about it until this thread. I took a photo off the screen of that guy and sent it to one of my elders at church.

He said yeah - not likely. Even at his rank there'd be the expectation of maintaining fitness.
