Why didn't they use the model from species 1 for the male.


I vaguely remember that in the previous film and comic the human race that the male looked Completely different to what is depicted in the film, in Species 3 it looked more like the original but I can't understand why they just simply just stook to it.

That has always bothered me about this movie. Patrick's alien form when covering up his infection being discovered and when first mating with Eve is more in line with the other male alien appearances. Then Press and crew show up and he turns into that hulking thing. I think they had him go all big so he seemed like this giant monster compared to both Eve and the team. Plus the big design is in fact based on another work by Giger.

There's no explanation given, so I just pretend that his alien side being an infection allowed him some type of "battle form". Maybe it was programmed in by the original aliens.
