That's stupid.

Well, back when this was released, which is almost 10 years ago, they weren't so strict and didn't have leveled rules. But this deserved the R rating. It has a lot of sexual references and they swear a lot. It's not that bad but I don't see how it can go with a PG-13. And believe me, I'm one of those people who HATE the rating system.

Well, Marlon spends about three minutes running around buck nekkid in public. I imagine that has something to do with it.

Do not forget the drug references.

and btw, to the initial question, none of it is in black & white. :P

He calls Patrick Ewing an "ugly mother f_cker"

Not saying that's enough to justify an R rating, but I'm currently watching this on a movie channel after not seeing it for years. And when that line came up I said to my roommate "whoa, is this rated R?" and it prompted me to check the rating lol...

It feels borderline PG-13. They probably had that rating in mind when they shot it.

It really does feel like a PG-13 film. I realize that it was shot in the late 90's. Most production companies would cut those small, unneeded scenes that use profanity. It just seems odd. A slight alteration of some of the language.....and this would have been a PG-13 comedy. The language really doesn't add anything.
