What was wrong with this movie?

it just wasn't very good. I love rockwell and Zahn, but here they didn't seem to have any chemistry. Firestone was good, Lerner is venerable, ruffalo's got chops and giamatti is a genius(he was the best thing in the film IMO) so with an all star cast like that, why did this movie leave me feeling let down somehow. I can't put my finger on it, script, direction, whatever. Not a terrible movie just not very good.

Hmmmm, i kinda feel the opposite. I thought it was a great movie, and never really thought about the cast. I mean they're all great actors, but i was more interested in the story, instead of any one character. Then again, i first saw this film about 11 years ago, with no expectations whatsoever. I was happily surprised by it, and its been one of my favorites ever since. Have you ever saw a film during a particularly strange time in your life, and then always associate that film with how you were feeling? yeah, strange question, but its the only way i can explain it :)

It was a good movie but had a few dead spots, if they would of picked up the pace a bit and kept things moving it would have been much better. I think if I watched it 10 more times it would grow on me but alas I have too many others in my queue.
