Romero made a slightly faithful script

Before Anderson was picked Romero wrote draft that had game content. I haven't read the full script but been to reddit and the wiki

While Romero seemed to keep some stuff like the characters from the first game and location he made changes

1. Chris was a farmer instead of a stars member. Plus Native American
2. Jill was part of the bravo team and Chris's gf, but undercover
3. Barry was black and described as a Teddy Bear
4. Some of the monsters were machines.

I need to read to full script.
What are your thoughts? Could the king of zombie flicks Have done this?
