Hope you do - I've got a post-apocalyptic groove going on too, so it would be surprising if I didn't.

Original film is very tightly-edited and (contrary to crits), you care about the characters (especially Michelle Rodriguez).
Also, MJ is a kick-ass heroine in the Ripley mould, albeit for the younger generation.

Resident Evil Apocalypse has different pace and MJ is slightly less centre-stage
but it still works.

I've only seen Resident Evil Extinction once - I enjoyed it, but I'd need to see it a few more times to give it a fair assessment.

Don't expect the considered pace & complexity of Walking Dead.
Don't expect the amazing performances & hyper-real vibe of 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later.
And put Romero to the back of your mind.

But you'll still enjoy them.

This movie is great. One of the best sci-fi zombie movies made. But the sequels, oh the sequels. 2 is solid, 3 is alright. Then something bad happens... In the latest installment they completely forego having a plot at all in favor of more running.
