Hands down the SCARIEST Resident Evil of them all!

1. The Atmosphere
2. Michelle Rodriguez
3. Soundtrack
4. tense pacing
5. Truly didn't know what the FCK these people were gonna run into feeling!
6. Believable acting that no other sequel since has matched

Sht like this made Resident Evil from 2002 the fking best of them all. I don't care what people have to say about the stinky sequels. Sure they were fun in there own right but boy do they *beep* SUCK compared to this first outing. This first film still manages to give me goosebumps from time to time. Resident Evil 2002 is a cult classic and I think is underrated.

It never got the sequel it truly deserved. Extinction was the closest thing that came to the first film follwed by The Final Chapter. Why was action a choice over horror in the sequels because BOY DID WE GET A TOOOOONNNNN of it!!

That's hardly saying much, to be fair. If you never played the video games, I can see why you might somewhat like RE 2002, but for those who were fans of the original games, Resident Evil is still weak as piss and not scary at all. If you want scary, play Resident Evil 2.

My strength is greater than my weakness

Yeah...I'm just ignoring your comment. If you don't at least think the first film in this series is good I would hate to see what you consider a quality horror film.

"If you want scary, play Resident Evil 2"

What?

How about do one? How about that you pimple popping pizza stinking gamer freak.

Play Resident Evil 2? What a knobjocky.

Aye, next time I want a movie experience I will go do something completely different. Great advice. It really contributes.

The Caretaker

RIP the caretaker. (heart attack)

I wouldn't say it's scary but is the best of them

It failed to capture the atmosphere of the series. The first Resident Evil game had a very scary and atmospheric mansion. This sacrifices atmosphere and tension for cheap thrills.
