Did anyone predict the boys fate?

It really surprised me. I didn't know where this movie was heading to before that event marked just a period of it's epic story.
Without knowing anything I think it is impossible to have expected in any honest way!

It's a great scene, probably one of the most carying scenes to carry this movie's unique quality.

I believe most things said in movies have a point in the story, so when the letter from the monks said the boy had a weak heart, I paid attention! Add that to how hard he was pushed, and the doctor visit and red eyes, I called it. As soon as he raised the bow I said to myself, "he's gonna drop dead". I'm surely not a genius so I'm sure others did too.

During that unfortunate scene, my jaw literally dropped open, and stayed that way for a few minutes. I'm pretty sure my heart dropped too. What an ambush! I dont believe there is any way anyone could have predicted that scene.

I think the boy sensed the ominous and foreboding aura surrounding that creepy dude with the long fingernails, and it scared him, literally, to death. No doubt, if the boy had lived, he would've taken the boy and the violin for his own creepy pleasures.

I did NOT see that coming, but I agree that the really creepy dude with the long finger nails literally scared the poor boy to death. So sad.

What was that guy's deal anyway?

Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar, and / or doesn't.

Am I weird to have predicted it?

reply

No, everyone who had the violin was doomed. It was obvious that the little boy would die.
