Is Minnie Driver in The Red Violin? The gypsy woman in the "Frederick Pope" sequence looks exactly like her, but she's not credited.

It's not her. The gypsy woman is credited in my version of the film, and it's not Minnie Driver. I even checked the name of the actress yesterday, and though I don't remember her name now, it wasn't Minnie Driver.

Checked the cast now, she's in the list at this board. The gypsy girl is called Sara, and is played by Eva Marie Bryer.

She also looks somewhat like Amy Winehouse, but I think Amy was only 13 when the movie came out! :-)
