Kayley vs. Mulan in a fight

Okay, I know this is a random idea, but I've been talking with some guys about this and shouldn't Kayley at least be able to reasonably hold her own against Mulan?

No.

One look at Mulan and Kayley will run the whole length of the Great Wall in a few zeconds. Besides. Shan Yu's a 100 times scarier than Ruber and Mulan beat the crap outta him.

Honestly? Should they ever have reason to fight it out for real -and I can't imagine why they would-, she wouldn't a snowflake's chance in the center of the sun. Granted, she didn't have a clue at first, but Mulan was trained as a soldier in the Chinese army. On top of that, she essentially became "top of her class" there for a while. And of course, there was that little thing of almost single-handedly saving her emperor, thus her country, from the Huns....

Kayely's cool and has the right attitude, but she doesn't have the experience yet to take on the "Hero of China." ^_~

I do agree that Mulan would take down Kayley just about most of the time, but I also don't think Kayley is getting enough credit, here.

She was more active than over half of the other animated heroines to date, even if she wasn't the best developed. And, although I was disapointed that we do not get to see her fight with a stick or sword, it is obvious that she picked up some skills from Garrett that she could exploit (and you have to admit that move she pulled on Ruber in the beginning was priceless). She bounced right back up after having Garrett tumble directly on top of her and after getting thrown onto a stony pavement from the beam.

And, she is resourceful enough to trap Ruber and his crew in the hand of that moving tree. She has enough sense of precision to kick that metal guy in the wagon in order to losen her straps. She is also quick enough to dodge Ruber with Excalibur a couple times (not to mention handle herself in the forbidden forest during "I Stand ALone" and outrun the dragons in Dragon Country), not to mention gutsy enough to throw herself directly at him on a beam at the end.

So I think Kayley could last a couple rounds with Mulan. Don't get me wrong, Mulan oughtta own her most of the time, but Kayley can't be underestimated, here. She could surprsise you.

Let me bring the popcorn and the camera. That would be one hot fight..

.. But Mulan would win hands down. It would be a terrible Kayley slaughter.

Mulan would own her!

Definitely Mulan for me..............

Not if her life depended on it, Kayley may be somewhat swift and smart but Mulan is just as (if not more) clever as Kayley is so......Mulan would whoop her -fill in the blanks- pretty much...

Well... I think Kayley would stand a fair chance against Mulan from "Mulan 2" - since Disney sequels tend to rip the guts out of the characters until they're just shades of their former selves.

We're not talking about the sequel itself you know.

I didn't know if you only meant the "original" Mulan, since no-one did say. But it sounds like you got my point anyway - that Mulan from Mulan II isn't exactly the same as she was in the first movie!

My reply was meant ironically rather than seriously. Except in that musical number sung by Shang, I honestly can't remember a part where Mulan entered combat. I'd have to watch the movie again to make up my mind properly on the Kayley vs Mulan debate.
