I really like Billy Bob and Angelina Jolie but he is STRANGE and she surpasses even him. This was one odd movie here.

That was an incredibly bad acting performance.
LOL! Yeah, don't forget the smoldering cat eyes and the pouty, ridiculously full lips. Those got her pretty far as well.
She does have acting chops, but she hasn't done a real movie since Girl, Interrupted. This movie is about as close as she's come though, I guess, except the Good Shepard, which no one saw. Maybe The Changling will be the start of a new chapter in her career, but these days, her main claim to fame is being a hot sexy babe that all the guys like because she's hot AND all her characters act like a guy. As far as I can tell, movie going men hated the Sex And The City women because they are not hot and they act like women. Angelina weilds guns and knives and sleeps with whomever she wants with impunity, whether he's married or not, without emotion or attatchment. Apparently that's every guy's wet dream. And of course every woman's worst nightmare. She certainly was Connie's in this movie. But I have to say while Angelina's performance was good in this film, I was much more captivated by Cate Blanchette. She is sooooo amazing! She didn a absolutely flawless Jersey accent, and was hilarious. But of course, she's not "hot" and never bared her tits so guys didn't even notice.
As much as I liked Jolie in this film, I just didn't find her that sexy. Perhaps because I'm a woman but I found Cate Blanchette's scene in the kitchen much more sexy. Seeing Jolie sleep with a married guy just made me see her as not so attractive. In terms of hotness, that would go to her in Gone in 60 Seconds.

Angelina's charisma and star quality in this film is just off the charts. She was funny, sexy and cool. The moment she struts into this film, all tarted out in her black leather and leopardskin, you can just feel the pure star-power radiating from her. I knew when I saw this film in 1999 that Jolie was well on her way to becoming a huge star.

Angelina Jolie just can't act bad. I only saw this movie because I heard she was in it, but she only had a few scenes :(

Certainly that decision must have been worthy of a special Oscar of some sort...No surprise that everyone liked it!
shareShe's a godawful actress. She ruined The Bone Collector (all pout and no expression) and pretty much every film after that. She's either shrill (pick any Oscar nommed performance) or distantly posing, posturing, pouting like a model. She's best in films like Wanted where there's minimum intelligent dialogue and all she has to do is tilt her chin down, eyes up, looking sultry.
She's a lousy action star as well. She can't even run. I had to close my eyes in acute pain every time she ran in "Salt".
that's so funny, my wife did the same thing about her in Salt.
