I didn't really like God's voice much.

It was okay, but didn't really feel "epic" or "powerful", like I imagine God's voice. They should have gotten someone like James Earl Jones, or Morgan Freeman, oe Christopher Lee to play him.

I would've liked Morgan Freeman doing the voice.

Val Kilmer, who also played Moses, did the voice of God. Hard to beat that as a concept. God is all the more powerful if he speaks to you in your own voice.

Actually it was all of the actors. Val Kilmers voice was just made to stand out more

Mufasa's voice in the Lion King when he comes to Simba as a vision sounded closer to what I'd imagine god would sound like if he spoke to you.

I think it was a unique take on the cliche powerful epic God voice. It sounded more like a loving and kind God.

I agree... Should have got Mufasa to voice him. That would have been epic. Think the only reason they had Val do it was because in the Ten Commandments, Charelton Heston who played Moses also played the voice of God as well.

I did like the part where he goes..."oh Moses.... I shall be with you when you go to the king of Egypt" but when he gets angry and goes "who made mans mouth? Who made the deaf, the mute, the seeing or the blind?" That part was pretty weak.

According to the Trivia section, the makers did that on purpose.

I think their method was likely based on the popular idea, that "God speaks to us in our own voice". I don't recall that being in the Bible, but it explains why various stage and film productions have used it over the years.
