Backlash from the Jewish community?

I remember I read some very negative comments/reviews of this film where some people, obviously Jewish, were attacking it for being of anti-Jewish sentiment and calling both Yakin and Margulies "self-hating Jews". I have only seen a part of it and long ago, so can you tell me what is so offensive to the Jews about it and is it really offensive to an average Jew?

Im not Jewish btw, just curious.
