Original cut vs directors

I have now watched both & have to say that the original version I liked better.

I liked the doctor scene of the theatrical better. They are both good to me though.

Original was great. Theatrical was actually a form of censorship, because the studios were afraid that seeing a woman beat up was too much. As a women, I loved it. I don't watch movies that pull punches.

The best film would be roughly, the theatrical release with the blue tint up to the killing of Carter then go with the directors cut (keeping the blue tint) to the ambiguous end. I'd keep the beating also.

I feel the same. She tried to kill him. Plus the dog scene, but in The Road Warrior they kill the dog and it's still one of the best films ever.

This is the first time I can think of that I didn't prefer the Director's Cut.
