The only bad Mel Gibson film
I don't know what went wrong with it exactly but this film is the only one which stars Mel Gibson which is a very poor movie.
The only blight on an otherwise perfect resume in my opinion.

It's a matter of taste. I get it this movie and personally I like it because the premise makes you think. It's not like these movies where the twists burn your brain and you're trying to solve them like a multivariable Differential Equations problem. Payback is more about identifying the paradox in a illogical and rather twisted environment, finding a paradox which Porter is. No doubt there's been comments about how sick this movie really is, but it's just a matter of taste. If one can get past the violence and look at the facts, the movie provides a very unusually clever message and no, it's not that we the public just love Mel Gibson acting like a screwy badass for no apparent reason although some yahoo will say that. I'm just waiting for it.
