Does anyone know how and why Lyle Lovett was in this film??? He was awful - looks and acting. Seriously...how did he get the part???

We talked about this in another thread here...I have no idea, except that he was able to call in a HUGE favor. He would even look past the camera for his lines....I was embarrassed for him. You can't blame him for his looks, but you certainly can for his acting talent.

It was obviously self-parody. It was a small unimportant role in a comedy. I thought he was kind of funny in a bizarre way. He will never be confused with Marlon Brando.

I have no idea who Lyle Lovett is. Too lazy to google so I'm going to assume big country star in the states and therefore virtually unknown this side of the pond. But that said I thought he was OK in this film - it's a quirky performance bit it fits in with the rest of the story.

Absolutely no clue. He must have photos, or know where the bodies are buried.
