The first 3 letters...........

This movie was just on tv, and I watched it for the first time. Not bad, it's a good 2nd addition to the "Odd Couple" franchise. but there was one thing that caught my attention. I don't want to say it annoyed me, but I guess it kind of did. When Felix "discovers" that "the first 3 letters" of his and Felice's name are the same, he is right, but really, the first 4 letters are the same. A minor detail, I know. Does anyone really know why the writers/screenwriters/whatever didn't want to include the "i" with this perk of the movie? Do just the "f," "e," & "l" matter? the "i" counts too!!!

You're right.

That's the same thing I noticed. LOL. You beat me to this one becaise I came on her to actually post that. That is one heck of a blooper. I'm surprised they didn't catch that in the making of the movie.

An explanation:

At first, Felix thinks that her name is Felyce; but when Felice says "..4 letter are same.." at the taxi, he finally understands that her name is actually Felice..

Is this explanation a joke? I saw the movie 3 times and didn't notice this scene... (good explanation though !)

I think it was more of a "sign" 'cause Felice, possibly short for Felicity (happiness), is the female counterpart to Felix, such as Paula/Paul,Michael/Michelle, etc....

Well, thats what I got out of the 2 names...

I'm pretty sure she says three as well in the taxi.

I noticed that, too. But I think the reason why he specified the "3", is because of the saying "Third time is the charm".. I can relate to that whole omen, as Felix put it. So when he said that on the plane, I had a laugh, because I understood what he meant.
