I'm not in any way her biggest fan but there are moments in this film when she plays pure honest emotion. And its a joy to watch.

Ditto...I still cry during the scene after they dance at his brother's wedding. So poignant.

I agree, she's great here, and I think it's her best film to date, too.

The scene that I think might be her best in her career happens when she is trying to convince Paul to love her as much as she loves him. And her anguish when he tells that he chooses Paul over her is simply incredible. She exudes pain in that scene.

Kay: Senators and presidents don't have men killed.
Michael: Oh, who's being naive, Kay?

To me she's always an excellent actress, it's just that the part she take aren't always great. This one is and she can show her talent thanks to part like this.
