Aged remarkably well

I can't think of any other SNL skit based movies that have stood the test of time as much as this one. It's not a great movie by any means but the humor still works, it's shot well, the acting is good enough for what it is. I'm glad I still have the vhs.

Macgruber?

Macgruber is only like 4-5 years old man, gotta wait at least a decade to see if a movie 'holds up well' I think. And I also agree this one did age better than expected. I expected it to be very much a remnant of it's time, but the comedy isn't old or stale. Most of the jokes could come out in a movie today and they would work.

In just a couple years it will be 2 decades old. Now that's crazy.

Coneheads! I don't know if it's better than Night At THe Roxbury because I haven't seen the latter yet I rented it so I'm going to watch it tonight.

Cones heads and Wayne's world

That, she did.

If anything, I think it seems funnier now. I like all of the SNL movies, except Pat. That movie is genuinely bad. Though I've never seen Stuart Smalley Saves His Family. Hoping to see it sometime.

I don't understand why it was panned when it came out. It's a pretty decent comedy and far from the worst SNL movie

reply

You're right. I still find it hysterical.

reply

Ya it's alright. Anothe3r surprisingly good one from the SNL idiots is 'Stuart Saves His Family'.
