I loved this movie. It was funny, heart-warming and it was so touching that Billy made the movie for André. ( 1946 -1993 God Rest His Soul )
For those who are open-minded enough to watch the movie and not say it sucks for no real reason, watch the ending and think of Five-For-Fighting's song 'One Hundred Years' being played. I did that, and I just started choking. I swear that song belongs on the ending. And right when Billy started talking, I just... get all serious or something.
This movie touched me in an amazing way. I was in a heavy Depression before I watched this movie, but since I watched it, I've been happier than ever.
My Giant would set a very good example for kids everywhere, telling them to treat everyone with respect and teach them that family and friends are more important than buisness.
I'm going to keep this movie and show it to my kids.

I always passed this movie up at the video store cause i heard it wasnt very good. Finally after lack of choices I rented it and was suprised on how good it was. Funny and heartwarming. Im learning not to always go by what other people say.

i saw this the other day (i would have seen it earlier if i knew it was kinda
about Andre)

after watching it. i can see the Andre the Giant thing. and it's the closest
thing to a biopic movie i've seen on him.

things that My Giant has in comman with Andre

(1) andre was a giant (of course)
(2) he had a wife/girlfriend that he didn't get along with to well (but
had a child with her)
(3) he was a nice man. and would stand up for his friends.
(4) he was a wrestler
(5) he was somewhat famous
(6) he had back problems. and other health problems
(7) he did a movie with Billy Crystal (The Princess Bride)
(8) he was from France. and had the same speaking patten as the guy in the movie

anyway i dug the movie. very sweet movie. done with alot of class. some funny
parts here and there. the Steven Segal cameo to me was VERY funny :)

Billy Crystal, the man and his movies, have a way of doing that.

I thought it was a fun movie. Not a masterpiece or so, but very underrated. Btw, Billy should always present the oscars.

I just saw this film on TV and it was so good he had a big warm loving heart. the sad thing is the woman he loved so much never loved him back. that what makes this film sad is that she never once really got to know him. know what kind heart Max had. she reminds me so much of Laura Winslow at first how Steve had his heart for Laura for 7 years and always called her nice sweet names. Lawauna was the same mean un hearted women just like that. not to many pepole can share that kind of love and that is why it is sad in this world. I bet Sam was the only one that went to his wake he was the only person to be his friend and care for him. Take my vote every one own this film and teach your kids friends and family what love and friendship is all about and the kind of pepole they are in the world.
