his backpack for the final showdown? This has bothered me and made no sense to me for fifteen years. Is it explained in the hour and a half that was cut? He just knew he was going to be able to overpower that guy and change faces with him?

I re-watched it yesterday, and i noticed that stupid scene too among its long list of lame scenes.

Even Michael Bay can do better than this.

Exactly. How the hell did he know he would need Hugh's face in his backpack. Unless he always carries everyone's face with him. Including his own. Just in case.

And the time it would take to do the exchange.......
