Real life animals that could easily kill or beat up Joe Young....

Wooly Mammoth (were estimated to weight seven tons, according to movie canon Joe Young weighed about one ton, at SEVEN times more massive with those huge tusks my money would be on a Mammoth effortlessly destroying Joe Young)

T REX and other really big dinos (Joe was much smaller than Kong, he might beat velocraptors though)

Blue Whale (granted its a different environment but If what I read is true they are about a hundred times more massive)

one grizzly or polar bear no way (though they would easily kill a regular gorilla) but a group of sever of them surrounding him and working as a team?

Maybe a Rhino (if the Rhino had time to build up the momentum for a charge at him since the horn would impale him if there was speed built up otherwise Joe being much stronger would kill the Rhino).
