One thing that bothered me was there wasn't enough mystique that surrounded who he was behind the mask once they got it off.... not ENOUGH.
The scene where he says to Athos "why was this done to me" was far too well lit. It should have been darker and he should have had some facial sores that the camera doesn't show close ups of. There could have been much more intrigue surrounding this whole ordeal.
I think the gist of this was the movie was billed as a dual role by Leo so there was not much of a mystery who was behind the mask.
Also the reveal of d'Artagnan as the birth father was a little too easy to figure out. This was most clear when he finds out that Phillippe was Louie's twin brother. He asks Queen Ann "there were two? Not one, but two?"
Outside of a few quibbles this is really a great movie. I for one am not a fan of DiCrappio but after seeing this film (and later 'Catch Me If You Can') he won me over as admitting that he's a great actor, like him or not.
