one of the best comedic moments in the history of cinema...

...is when Ted McGinley's character gets ticked off and throws a baseball at a wall, and it bounces back and hits him in the head. Damn that was funny!

I'd take your comment a step further and say all one hundred minutes of this movie is the best comedic moment in the history of cinema. I'll even go further and say that Major League: Back to the Minors is the crowning cinematic achievement of all mankind. I mean Scott Bakula is a god, if not the real GOD.

This movie really was funny though. I swear, the restaurant guy is hilarious when he says "ranch, i-talian, chunky blue cheese".

Ted McGinley is awesome in this movie. I love the part when he pulls his hair way up....hi-larious.

The movie is lame, but that scene is hilarious.
The coach's deadpan reaction ("Somebody get the trainer ... and an ice bag.") is perfect.

Come on people! This is a great movie!!!! Ted McGinley has a way of being in good projects that are well oiled machines are bringing them to new levels, just look at all the projects he has been in!

You have to take this movie for what it is, a baseball comedy. Major League was awesome, but the second one, come on. That one wasn't so great. Major League BTTM had a lot of laugh out loud moments. When Gus gets nailed in the back of the head with baseball and his sunglasses go flying off...awesome!! Also, pay attention when Gus and Dorn are watching Downtown Anderson in the beginning of the movie. Gus eats like five hot dogs.

I have to agree with you. That was one of the best moments, though it was very slapstick, but really did get me laughing.

As far as the rest of it, It's a movie. A nice little fantacy.

In my own opinion, I thought this was the funniest of the three. I didn't say best. I said funniest. The first is a classic, but this was was just so funny. I couldn'tstop laughing throughout the movie.

reply

I'd have to agree....if ya wanna a good laugh this is tops....weak plot is the only thing holding it back....still one of my favs though

While this movie isn't a crowning achievement in cinematic history, it makes me laugh, and that's all that I want from this movie. The first one was good, the second one was crappy and not funny at all. The third one has a weak plot and sometimes the acting is a little weak, but there are a lot of laugh out loud moments.

Watch Veronica Mars on Tuesdays on the CW at 9/8 central.

THis film entetains me 3 years later at 3AM! I would rather watch this film than be with my GF!

Agree 100%. Jefferson D'Arcy throwing a baseball at the wall and having it bounce back and hit him in the face was, by far, the single greatest moment in the entire film.

reply

Agreed

Great moment, terrific & underrated film.

I love the waiter scene.

It was strange that they used their starter each game for nearly a complete game! That would have been taxing on him coupled with the fact that the buzz were in a divisional race of their own, it seems odd to use their ace that much in an exhibition game, right? I know there are other complaints on the board (and I liked the movie!) but putting it out there to see what other fans think.
