I mean it is not the best movie by Jim Abrahams. Stuff like the "Hot Shots!" series or "Loaded Weapon 1" are better. But 4.9?

There are some gags that aren't that good (e.g. the fart jokes or stuff like that), but the rest of the movie is just hilarous (e.g. when the tree is hit by the gun shot or the dialogue: "What's his name?" - "Diane!" :-D ). Last but not least it has the great Lloyd Bridges in it!

I cannot believe that *beep* like "Scary Movie 4" is rated higher than this funny Godfather parody.

I was SHOCKED to see the rating so low. Godfather is an insanely popular and beloved series, perhaps a great deal of Godfather fanatics just couldn't force themselves to have a sense of humor about a movie that mocks it? Only rational explanation haha, cuz ANYONE with even the slightest amount of good taste should LOVE this movie. It's hilarious.

It's up to an even 5.0 now. I'd say about 1 out of 4 jokes works, which is actually a pretty good track record for a comedy. Like most viewers, I gave this 6/10 stars.

It's at 5.2 now. Haven't seen it, don't really have any interest in seeing it (mafias bore me, comedy or drama).

I'm sorry but 5.2? I remember seeing this movie when I was about 12 and I laughed so hard my sides hurt. I've seen it countless times since and I still think it is hysterical. There are so many classic comedy scenes in it that I am truly shocked that it is not more well known and isn't at least a 6.5 on this site.

I'd give it a 7 personally.
