A film adaptation, no matter how good, will always be its own thing separate from the source material. Asking to choose between the two is like asking to choose between water and ice: they're both ultimately water, yet they're different enough in form that having a preference for one is almost nonsensical. Ice has advantages that water doesn't and vice versa, so why not enjoy both?
