Love this film but there's one thing that has always bothered me:
When Plank and his cronies are attempting to rob the hippie drug dealers, why wouldn't they have rang Rory Breaker?
They were growing and selling weed on his behalf and it was his money that would be stolen, also, they knew he was a "lunatic" with obvious connections so WHY wouldn't they have called him and gotten him to send his heavies round to sort out the thieves, rather than open the gate?
Nick the Greek was the only man in that movie with a mobile phone...
shareThat's a good point. They could have called up Rory really quickly and gotten his black c_nts over there to sort the white c_nts out. In reality, I'd expect they'd have some kind of protocol for defense like that. If Rory really cared about his business, he'd probably have some kind of crew on standby for that kind of thing. Then again, maybe the weed growers were just scared and couldn't think rationally at that point, since they weren't used to violent or threatening situations, hence the air rifle (he shot me! well shoot him back! can everybody stop gettin shot?!)
shareI'm pretty sure it was because they had already shot one of the hippies upon entering and were going to kill him. Dog walked in and it got hot fast. There may have been a moment or two when one of them could have made tha call but when their friends life was in danger, i think their instinct was to stop him from getting shot again. Not protecting weed.
