This movie reminds of Tim Roth's other underrated movie, Youth Without Youth, Coppola's 2007 movie

Was 1900 real or was he the imagination of a washed up jazz trumpeteer musician?

I was just discussing (and recommending) this film with a friend. It is a legend. The reality is in the mind of those who believe the legend. I choose to believe he was real. :)

it's a theatrical monologue written by Alessandro Baricco, Italian writer.
Nothing but fiction but, as said in V for Vendetta, writers use lies to tell truths :-)
