I believe the ghetto shown is the Warsaw Ghetto, or something like it, which was created by the Nazis to keep the Jews more or less imprisoned until they could be shipped out to concentration camps. You do bring up an interesting point, and I will check the date of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.
Warsaw Ghetto by early 1944 was literally leveled for 1 year.
